A project to tackle textile waste within Belfast by fostering a new relationship to discarded textiles through an active remaking of rag pile materials into catwalk worthy garments by community groups from all corners of the city. The project was a partnership between Belfast City Council and Tools for Solidarity, led by Education Officer Sue Bamford. Three months of creative upcycling, sewing and embroidery culminated in a gala performance in September 2024, where outfits were modelled by some of the project participants, proving that fashion is for everyone regardless of age, size or gender.
